I love date night. I love Peter.
I love date night. I love Peter.
Peter and I are doing two expensive and two inexpensive dates (one for every week!) This week was are expensive date. WE planned this one together. Actually, we wanted to do this kayaking class for our vacation (when we hiked badger Mt. and went back packing). So we went to a kayaking class. 7 hours! But it was totally worth it! I LOVED IT! and just in case you can’t tell from the pictures… Peter, hot guy in the wet suit, also enjoyed it.
Goodness there were so many thing sI could tell you because it was an incredible day! It was super awesome. Ah.. but alas for the lack of space, time, and focus i’ll just tell you my favorite part: practicing rescuing Peter and also learning to rescue myself ; )
1 Listen to your guides. Seriously, the trip wouldn’t have been half as fun without our super awesome teachers. They were hilarious and totally ripping on Peter in a fun loving way.
2 Drink water and wear sunscreen. Necessities.
3 Relax and Laugh! Whether you fall in on purpose or not (lol- PETER) or can’t paddle straight (cough, cough… me) its so much more fun when you can laugh and laugh a lot.
I really love hiking… I like being outside. SO… even though I’ve already done a post like this I can’t resist to post some more pictures of different hikes.
Mostly pictures ahead!
Sadly for my friend and I we left too late to go to our high up spot. Our high spot was actually east so we were driving away from the sunset and then didn’t have the spot picked out just the road.
1- Plan ahead of time the spot you want to watch the sunset
2- Figure out what time the sun goes down (weather channel?) and leave with plenty of time
3- If it doesn’t work out still make it an adventure!
This is seriously a fun date idea, group idea, family outing… Super fun. Well, I’ll admit when you don’t find it… not so much… but it is still a great way to get outside and do some treasure hunting!
– make sure you have some sort of GPS… iphones can get an app. A map can work, but sometimes its harder
– BRING A PEN… no matter what. Most of the geocaches I run into don’t have their own pen.
– Bring something to put in it. Leave your mark. Remember you can’t take anything, unless you put something in.
– Don’t go alone. Not because it is dangerous… but because it SO much fun to discover things together
There is probably one where you live. Its around the world! If not then start some! Want more information? Click HERE
My fun thing this last week was the trip that my husband and I made to a TINY… very tiny town close to us. It was a drive, but a little worth it just for the picture above!! How hilarious!
1) bring more water
2) bring some snacks (or make SURE SURE they have a place to eat)
3) make sure to get out at least once
The river was beautiful and by far my second favorite part. It really nice because you get the chance to take long talks and explore 🙂
Since I have moved to a smaller town… much smaller… I’ve had a really hard time figuring out how to… I don’t know entertain myself? maybe? So I am going to challenge myself to try to do at least one really fun activity of some kind and post about it every week…. lets see how it goes!
I love hiking! And living in a valley doesn’t not afford many hiking trails, however living in a valley means there is high ground around somewhere!
Where to go if you want to know
(hehehe) about the best hiking? Your local REI or if you are in South-ish Eastern WA or Northern Eastern OR … http://hiketricities.com/has some pretty fun ideas.
